What do you need to know?
- Appointments are open to URFA members by constituency — please scroll down to see opportunities in your area
- Terms start May 1, 2024 — duration varies by appointment
- Volunteers should be willing and available to dedicate time to the work of the committee for meetings and other related activities
- Volunteering for an URFA committee may count as service, or you may be able to participate on ‘work time’ — please contact the URFA office for details on how this works for your bargaining unit
The deadline to submit your nomination form is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Members are entitled to nominate members from and to vote only within their own constituency. In the event that there are more nominations received from an area than positions available, members of the area will vote on these nominees.
Each nomination form must bear the signature of two members of the area as sponsors of the nominee, and the signature of the nominee to signify consent.

Available Positions
Campion College & Luther College — Sessionals
The term of office for one (1) alternate member from the Campion College or Luther College – Sessionals Constituency on the URFA Grievance Committee are or will be vacant as of April 30, 2024.
One alternate member from the Campion College or Luther College Sessionals Constituency are to be elected each for a 1‑year term from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025.
The alternates will serve as representative for that constituency if the elected representatives cannot do so. The alternate may also attend meetings along with the member, but will have no voting rights in this circumstance.
First Nations University of Canada — Academic
The term of office for one (1) delegate and one (1) alternate member from the First Nations University — Academic Constituency on the URFA Grievance Committee are or will be vacant as of April 30, 2024.
One delegate and one alternate member from the FNUniv Academic Constituency are to be elected each for a 1‑year term from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025.
The alternates will serve as representative for that constituency if the elected representatives cannot do so. The alternate may also attend meetings along with the member, but will have no voting rights in this circumstance.
First Nations University of Canada — APT
The term of office for one (1) delegate and one (1) alternate member from the First Nations University — APT Constituency on the URFA Grievance Committee are or will be vacant as of April 30, 2024.
One delegate and one alternate member from the FNUniv Academic Constituency are to be elected each for a 3‑year term from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2027.
The alternates will serve as representative for that constituency if the elected representatives cannot do so. The alternate may also attend meetings along with the member, but will have no voting rights in this circumstance.

The alternates will serve as representative for that constituency if the elected representatives cannot do so. The alternate may also attend meetings along with the member, but will have no voting rights in this circumstance.
University of Regina — Academic
The term of office for two (2) alternate members from the University of Regina Academic Constituency on the URFA Grievance Committee are both vacant.
Two alternate members are to be elected, one for a 1‑year term from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025, and another for a 2‑year term from May 1, 2024 – April 30, 2026.
The alternates will serve as representative for that constituency if the elected representatives cannot do so. The alternate may also attend meetings along with the member, but will have no voting rights in this circumstance.
University of Regina — APT
The term of office for one (1) delegate and one (1) alternate member from the University of Regina APT Constituency on the URFA Grievance Committee are or will be vacant as of April 30, 2024.
One delegate and one alternate member from the UofR APT Constituency are to be elected each for a 3‑year term from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2027.
The alternates will serve as representatives for that constituency if the elected representatives cannot do so. The alternate may also attend meetings along with the member but will have no voting rights in this circumstance.
University of Regina — Sessionals
The term of office for one (1) delegate and one (1) alternate member from the University of Regina – Sessionals Constituency on the URFA Grievance Committee are or will be vacant as of April 30, 2024.
One delegate and one alternate member from the UofR Sessionals Constituency are to be elected each for a 3‑year term from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2027.
