Attend the Prairie School for Union Women!
The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL) is hosting their annual Prairie School for Union Women from June 13 – 16, 2022.
This labour education school is about building solidarity and knowledge. It teaches skills union members need to defend their rights and help create a better world of work.
For 2022, URFA has funding to send two women members to a virtual course. This year’s virtual course offerings are: Building Inclusive Locals That Prioritize Human Rights, Women’s Health & Safety in the Workplace, and A Journey to Empower Women.
Application
The deadline to indicate your interest has been extended to noon on Monday, May 2, 2022.
If you are interested in attending, please email urfa@uregina.ca and provide your name, a brief summary as to why you would like to attend the school, and which course you would like to attend.
If there are more than two members interested in attending, the URFA Executive Committee will be responsible for determining the attendee.
Members may also attend the virtual or in-person courses at this school at their own cost.
Report Back
As stated in the URFA Conference and Delegate Expectation Support Policy, URFA financially supports member participation at conferences and other such events, within budgeted amounts approved by the Executive Committee and with the Executive Committee’s approval of delegates.
In exchange, members are asked to prepare and submit a written report about their learning to the Executive Committee within two weeks of the event’s conclusion.
