URFA Solidarity with Wet’suwet’en Nation
The University of Regina Faculty Association, representing members on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territory, supports the Wet’suwet’en Nation in British Columbia, and urges government leaders to take action to ensure a peaceful resolution that ensures the inherent rights of the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs over their traditional territories are honoured and respected.

Today, URFA recognizes the Transgender Day of Remembrance, which is a day observed annually on November 20th to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. It is also a day to call attention to the continued violence endured by transgender people.
