President's Town Hall — Academic Freedom

In times of polit­i­cal polar­iza­tion, increas­ing pri­va­ti­za­tion, and threats to uni­ver­si­ty auton­o­my, defend­ing aca­d­e­m­ic free­dom is more impor­tant than ever.

You are invit­ed to Aca­d­e­m­ic Free­dom Now! An URFA Pres­i­den­t’s Town Hall that will be held on Wednes­day Feb­ru­ary 12 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom.

At this town hall we will:

• Learn from CAUT Pres­i­dent Peter McIn­nis on the state of aca­d­e­m­ic free­dom across Canada
• Hear from sev­er­al URFA mem­bers who attend­ed the recent CAUT and Edu­ca­tion Inter­na­tion­al con­fer­ence on Aca­d­e­m­ic Free­dom in Calgary
• Have a chance to share con­cerns, iden­ti­fy con­cerns, and build com­mu­ni­ty on this impor­tant issue
