University of Regina (Administrative, Professional and Technical)
The University of Regina Faculty Association (URFA) is the certified bargaining agent for the University of Regina full and part-time Administrative, Professional, and Technical (APT) employees.
History
February of 1978, the University of Regina administrative employees were certified under the title Administrative Personnel Group (APG). The APG represented an estimated 50 employees.
Until October 10, 1986, the APG was unaffiliated with a larger labour body but at that date, through an application to the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, the University of Regina Faculty Association became the exclusive bargaining agent for the Administrative Personnel Group. Under this order APG retained their status as a separate bargaining unit but was thus represented by the larger organization and became known as the Administrative, Professional and Technical Employees (APT).
Currently, we represent approximately 440 members of this bargaining unit.
